Police Blotter: A Close Brush with Vicious Dogs and More About Wrong-Way Driver

A man from Woodlane Drive called officers Monday afternoon after being chased by two Rottweilers. He made it to his residence, but was unsure which direction the dogs went. Police found the dogs and returned them to the station within 15 minutes. A woman came nearly three hours later to pick the dogs up.
Mayfield Village Police aided officers from Mayfield Heights in response to a report Saturday morning of . A man driving a semi-truck with two trailers swerved to avoid the vehicle, resulting in an overturned tractor and the lanes being shut down. The truck contained no toxic materials. The female driver of the wrong-way vehicle was eventually taken into custody by Mayfield Heights for felony drunken driving, willful wanton disregard for safety and driving the wrong way on marked lanes. Her vehicle was impounded at Ken's Auto Services.
A man called police at 7:18 p.m. April 19 to report a theft from his vehicle the previous night at apartments. He said he bought several items from , but left them on his front and rear seats. They were missing when he left for work. He considered whether he had taken them inside, but heard from Best Buy that the items were returned. Since he paid with his credit card, a refund appeared on his account. He said other items were taken from his car, and he noticed small scratches on his door.
