Police Blotter: Bees Take Over Restrooms at Park

A person renting a pavilion at Wiley Park at 8:17 p.m. July 17 said there were bees inside the restroom walls and they swarmed and stung several children. Police contacted the service department about the problem the next day.

Police stopped a 22-year-old man who was skateboarding down the middle of SOM Center Road at 2:43 a.m. July 18. He was sent on his way.

A Sandalwood Drive resident called police at 5:42 p.m. July 17 after returning home to find someone entered her garage and removed items from her storage unit. She said they also taped up random photographs.

A Timberline Trail resident flagged down an officer at 5:41 p.m. July 15 to report that a suspicious man was following their four children on bicycles. He didn't say anything, but rode behind them through the neighborhood before taking off through the woods.

An alarm went off at the old police station on Wilson Mills Road at 1:05 p.m. July 14. The was no cause for the alarm and it was reset.

Juveniles were in an apartment complex pool at 9:32 p.m. July 13 on Aintree Park Drive and covered a video camera with shorts.

A woman called police at 2:57 p.m. July 12 after her purse was taken from her picnic table on SOM Center Road. She said the suspect ran away. She described him as a black man in his 40s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing blue pants and a long-sleeve blue shirt. Police were unable to find the suspect.
