Police Blotter: Bicyclist Hit by Car at Chagrin River and Brigham

A 911 caller at 4:32 p.m. May 8 reported that a bicyclist was hit by at car at the intersection of Chagrin River and Brigham roads. The bicyclist, a 60-year-old Highland Heights man, was taken to Hillcrest Hospital. The driver of the car, a 75-year-old Gates Mills man, was cited for failing to yield the right of way when turning left.

A disabled truck was reported at 12:48 p.m. May 10 on Mayfield Road. Police checked and said the truck went off the road and hit several signs. The driver, a 45-year-old man from Chagrin Falls, was cited for failing to maintain reasonable control of his vehicle.

An employee at called at 7:33 p.m. May 10 to report criminal mischief. A small fire had been started in the girls' locker room and was extinguished by housekeeping workers. The incident is under investigation.
