Police Blotter: Bones Found Near Chagrin River

Several bones were found on the shoreline of the Chagrin River just south of Old Mill Road. Police were called at 5:31 p.m. March 27 and officers were sent to the scene, where they picked up four bones and a tooth. They were taken to the Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office, which identified them as nonhuman remains.

 A one-car accident was reported at 6:37 p.m. March 30 on Old Mill Road. The driver, a 20-year-old woman from Mayfield Heights, lost control of her car on a curve and hit a utility pole. She was not injured.

 An officer stopped a car for speeding at 12:19 p.m. April 1 on Mayfield Road and found the driver had a suspended license. The 23-year-old man from Chicago was cited for speed, no driver’s license and driving while under suspension.  The car was turned over to a passenger who had a valid driver’s license.
