Police Blotter: Burglar Pried Open Window in Afternoon
Information supplied by the Mayfield Heights Police Department

An alarm went off at 1:14 p.m. June 25 on Rosebury Court. Police said someone used a bar to pry open a window, but fled without taking anything. A witness reported seeing a man with red hair. Police said that man might had been a resident going to his car, which was parked for a graduation party.
Two women were arguing near a red car at 3:10 a.m. June 27 on Marsol Road. The women had separated before police arrived.
A suspicious suitcase was seen in the middle of Eastwood Avenue at 9:06 p.m. June 26. Police said the suitcase was OK and was trash that had been placed on a tree lawn.
Auxiliary officers working at South Park at 2:55 p.m. June 26 reported getting complaints about people who brought dogs with them to watch games. When told that dogs were not allowed in the park, people claimed they received permission from Highland Heights auxiliary. Police spoke with a woman who was very upset, but agreed to leave.
A woman told police at 11:44 p.m. June 25 that she was driving on Iroquois Avenue and a car had stopped at a stop sign and wasn't moving. She honked her horn and went around. Then the other driver tailgated her and hit her car, she said. Police talked to the other driver and a camera was requested for pictures.
An employee at a Mayfield Road gas station told police at 2:41 a.m. June 24 that a man picked up a 12-pack of beer, threw a $20 bill on the counter and left in a tan car.
