Police Blotter: Burglary Suspects Caught After Crash

A caller at 12:50 p.m. March 4 said three suspects might had burglarized a neighbor's house on Hanover. She said she saw them walking out carrying things and was sure they shouldn't have been there. At 3:10 p.m., a security officer at Hillcrest Hospital said the suspects' vehicle was involved in a head-on collision and all occupants were at the emergency room. Officers were sent to the hospital for the four suspects, a Richmond Heights man and three Mayfield Heights boys, and the car was towed as evidence.

A suspicious man was loitering around a SOM Center Road bank at 9:46 a.m. March 2. He took stuff out of his pockets and told a teller not to worry, that he did not have a gun. The man was voluntarily taken to Hillcrest Hospital for a mental evaluation.

Power was out at 6:33 a.m. March 7 on Wilson Mills Road in the area of Alpha Drive.

An employee at a Beta Drive hotel called at 2:35 a.m. March 6 about unruly wedding guests who were asked several times to settle down. There were multiple complaints from other guests. Police talked to the suspects and the party was broken up.

A caller on March 6 said he was at the library the previous day and was concerned because he saw a pretty girl with a handheld scanner and didn't know what she was using it for.

Service department crews were requested March 6 to patch the larger holes on SOM Center and Wilson Mills roads.

A fire was reported at 5:32 a.m. March 2 on Hanover Road. Mutual aid was requested from Highland Heights. However, the fire was extinguished and mutual aid was canceled.
