Police Blotter: Burnt Bacon Smell Mistaken for Marijuana

A Marsol Road resident said at 10:18 a.m. Nov. 12 that it smelled like neighbors were smoking marijuana. Police said there was no cause for the complaint and the only odor present was burnt bacon.
A Crestwood Road woman requested special attention to her house on Nov. 12 because her husband is a football coach involved in a rivalry game. She said there was graffiti in the driveway the last time the two teams played.
A man was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence after he was found passed out at 11:09 p.m. Nov. 11 at a stop sign at Oakville and Mayfield Ridge roads. Police said the man had firearms and ammunition in the car.
Several people were fighting at a Mayfield Road apartment building, a caller reported at 9:46 p.m. Nov. 11. Police said three adults were cited for disorderly conduct and a juvenile was referred to juvenile court.
A caller at 9:35 a.m. Nov. 11 said a gold car was speeding up and down the aisles of the Eastgate parking lot near and a man pushing a cart was chasing the car. Police said all of the people involved were juveniles and were joking with each other. They were told to pick up trash occupants of the car had thrown at the boy pushing the cart.
