Police Blotter: Craiglist Ad Creates Concern for Resident

An East Miner Road resident in the process of moving advertised items on Craigslist. He called police at 12:19 p.m. April 30 because a man called about a washer and dryer and was upset when he was told that it would not be held for him until he could come and buy it. The text messages then stopped and the man didn't want to file a report.

A caller said a man was cutting himself at 5:09 p.m. April 30 at the playground at an apartment building on Golden Gate Boulevard. A Taser was used on the man, who was taken to Hillcrest Hospital.

Juveniles were smoking and kicking each other, annoying mothers with small children at 5:05 p.m. April 30 at the South Park playground. About 10 to 12 juveniles were there, but police said they were behaving. Officers talked to them about the complaint.

A man was walking around in a brown shirt and pajama bottoms and appeared to be disoriented at 2:54 p.m. April 29 on Jackie Lane. The man was not interested in talking to an officer.

Several storage lockers were broken into at Coppertree apartments, a caller reported at 2:12 p.m. April 29.

A woman holding an estate sale at her father's house on Byron Road called police at 9:40 a.m. April 29 because his girlfriend showed up intoxicated. She left and police told her not to return.

Marc's at Eastgate called at 7:30 p.m. April 28 about several wallets that were in lost and found at the store. Police contacted two of the owners to pick up their property.

A Fruitland Avenue man called at 8:12 p.m. April 27 after a neighbor's dog was running loose and he chased it into the owner's garage. He wanted to let the resident know, but there appeared to be a disturbance. He said the dog was still running loose. The dog was in the house and everything was OK when police checked.
