Police Blotter: Disabled Truck Temporarily Closes Road

A disabled tractor-trailer was blocking part of the road at 4:27 p.m. March 7 on Battles Road. Police closed a portion of the road until a tow truck removed the tractor-trailer. The road was reopened at 6:08 p.m.

A 53-year-old Novelty man was stopped for speeding at 1:25 p.m. March 8 on Mayfield Road. His driver's license had been suspended. He was cited for speeding, no driver's license and driving while under suspension and his car was towed.

An accident was reported at 3:29 p.m. March 8 on Mayfield Road. Two cars were involved and there were no injuries. A 17-year-old Solon boy was cited for failing to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

A Racebrook Road woman came to the station at 4:38 p.m. March 11 to file a fraud report. She said that since February someone has used her identity to open credit card accounts.
