Police Blotter: Domestic Dispute Turns Into Demolition Derby

A husband and wife were fighting at 4:50 p.m. July 19 on Wilson Mills Road and the wife was ramming her car into her husband's car. The incident started on the southbound exit ramp to Wilson Mills and Highland Heights police were contacted to take an accident report.
A woman came home at 7:51 p.m. July 22 on Hickory Hill Drive and found her side door wide open and the alarm was going off. Police checked and it didn't appear that anyone had been inside the house. Police said the alarm might had been set off during a power outage.
A caller at 7:16 a.m. July 22 said a woman in a small maroon station wagon pulled behind her on Beta Drive and asked for directions. The caller police said there was something medically wrong with the woman or she was drunk. Police checked, but were unable to find the woman.
A squad was needed for a player who was hit in the face with a line drive at 9:54 p.m. July 21 on SOM Center Road.
A Hickory Hills Drive resident complained at 5:57 p.m. July 21 about a neighbor blowing leaves and causing a lot of dust. He asked the neighbor to stop and was told that it couldn't be helped because of the wind. Police spoke to the neighbor and settled the dispute.
A Seneca Road woman complained at 9:17 a.m. July 21 that varmints were coming into her property from a dilapidated house next door. Traps had been set and caught plenty, she added. She said the city needs to do something. Police said a person from the building department would contact the woman.
