Police Blotter: Driver Cited After Hitting Tree on Chagrin River Road

Information supplied by the Gates Mills Police Department.

A 911 caller reported a crash at 7:10 p.m. Nov. 30 on Chagrin River Road near Deerfield Road. Police said a car went off the road and hit a tree. No one was injured in the crash. The driver, a 53-year-old Lyndhurst man, was cited for failing to maintain reasonable control of his vehicle.

A Gates Mills Boulevard resident called 911 at 4:31 a.m. Nov. 30 to report suspicious circumstances – someone just knocked at the door of his home. Officers checked the area, but did not see anyone.

A Woodstock Road resident called at 11:13 a.m. Nov. 30 to report theft of a brass address sign from his yard.
