Police Blotter: Driver Said Incident Started by Woman on Phone

A woman said a silver Hyundai sped up behind her, then passed her in a no passing zone and started braking in front of her at 8:17 p.m. Aug. 26 at Wilson Mills and Lander roads. The man driving the Hyundai told police that the woman cut him off while on her cell phone.

A caller said three boys were playing golf with real golf balls in front yards on Longspur Road at 6:14 p.m. Aug. 28. Police were unable to find the boys.

A Highland Road resident called police at 4:50 p.m. Aug. 26 and said she had been involved in a private property accident in Euclid and the other person was sending her harassing text messages.

A Highland Road woman called at 6:49 p.m. Aug. 26 to complain that tree trimmers had been working since the morning. Police told a man to stop working and also informed him that there was a warrant for his arrest.
