Police Blotter: Drunken Driver Arrested After Spinning Out on I-271

Information supplied by the Mayfield Heights Police Department.

A caller reported a possible drunken driver at 8:48 p.m. Jan. 2 on Interstate 271 northbound. The suspect then spun out just north of Mayfield Road and was stuck in the median. A tow truck was called and the driver of the car was taken to the police station and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence.

A Mayfield Road woman called at 1:51 p.m. Jan. 2 and wanted someone to check on her neighbor, who came over and said that her blinds fell and hit her in the head. The woman was acting strangely, the caller said. The woman was taken to Hillcrest Hospital.

A caller at 2:27 a.m. Jan. 1 reported that fireworks were being set off at a Marsol Road apartment building.

Police were called to break up a party of 50 to 60 people at 11:50 p.m. Dec. 31 at Staybridge Suites on Landerhaven Drive. Officers escorted a large group of people off of the property.

A Marsol Road woman called at 1:11 a.m. Dec. 31 because an upstairs neighbor was jumping and keeping her up. Officers stood outside the apartment and didn't hear anything.

The Ohio License Bureau office at Golden Gate Plaza called at 4:18 p.m. Dec. 30 to report that a man tried to get a driver's license using his brother's information. The man was arrested and charged with falsification.
