Police Blotter: Exes Fighting About Dog

A Golden Gate Boulevard woman called police at 3:01 p.m. Oct. 1 and wanted to talk to an officer about a problem with her ex-husband, who was going to be dropping off their daughter. She said he also wanted to drop off a dog, but she told him she was not allowed to have a dog in her apartment. She said he then threatened to shoot the dog in front of their daughter.

A woman told police her car was hit at 7:14 p.m. Oct. 2 in the lot at Golden Gate Plaza. The other car fled the scene. Police caught up with the driver, who said she was afraid of retaliation from the other woman.

A man came to the police station at 4:27 p.m. Oct. 1 after being involved in a hit-skip accident at Mayfield Road and Worton Boulevard. He said he apologized to the other person involved, but left the area. Police said the people involved decided to settle the matter themselves.

A caller said students soliciting for cancer research were running into the intersection of Mayfield and Lander roads at 9:38 a.m. Oct. 1. Police told the students they would have to stop if they continued to enter the intersection.
