Police Blotter: Flooded Intersection Closed by Officers
Information supplied by the Gates Mills Police Department

A caller at 11:27 p.m. Sept. 4 reported that the intersection of Mayfield and Chagrin River roads was flooded and impassable. Police said there had been a heavy rainfall and officers temporarily closed the westbound portion of the road and detoured traffic. The road was opened again at 4:12 a.m.
An accident involving a bicyclist was reported at 6:44 p.m. Aug. 30 on Berkshire Road. Police said the bicyclist ran into the back of a disabled car. The 50-year-old Chagrin Falls man had minor injuries and didn't want to be taken to the hospital.
A car hit a fire hydrant and a mailbox at 1:51 p.m. Sept. 2 on County Line Road. The driver, a 52-year-old Painesville man, was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control of his vehicle.

A Mayfield Village man called police at 10:29 a.m. Sept. 4 and said he was assaulted by his brother while parked on Gates Mills Estates Drive. Officers spoke to the siblings and the case is under investigation.
