Police Blotter: Gas Line Rupture Forces Closing of Road

A FirstEnergy crew working at 9:55 a.m. May 20 on Chagrin River Road ruptured an underground gas line between Old Mill and Mayfield roads. A portion of the road was closed while repairs were made. The road was reopened at 2:31 p.m.
Police were called at 6:54 a.m. May 17 about a suspicious person at the Chagrin Valley Hunt Club kennels. Police told a 48-year-old man from Mayfield Heights not to return to the property or he would be subject to arrest for trespassing.
An officer stopped a car for weaving at 12:40 a.m. May 21 on Gates Mills Boulevard. The driver, a 31-year-old Euclid man, was found to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with weaving, failure to wear a seat belt, no driver’s license, driving while under suspension, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and refusal of a chemical test with a prior conviction for operating a vehicle under the influence. The subject was jailed after failing to post bond.
