Police Blotter: Girl's Internet Friend Has Mom Worried

A Golden Gate Boulevard woman called police at 5:11 p.m. July 1 because she was concerned about her 14-year-old daughter. She said the girl was in contact with a 30-year-old man on the Internet and she was worried the girl would try to meet him. She was advised to contact the school district about cyber safety resources.

There was a dead cat in the road at 10:09 a.m. July 4 on Lander Road, according to an anonymous caller who left a message for the animal warden. The caller said numerous cats were in a yard and house and the cat was likely from that address.

Someone lit two chairs on fire in a Belrose Road garage at 1:54 a.m. July 4.

A Marsol Road woman said at 6:27 p.m. July 3 that she threw her boyfriend of 13 years out and he was making threats. Police talked to the man and he said he would not contact the woman.

A Crestwood Road man called police at 4:40 p.m. July 3 because he wanted to visit a friend in the hospital and his brother wouldn't move his car so he could leave. The brother moved his car and the man was able to leave.

Three suspects ran from CVS, 5901 Mayfield Road, after setting off an alarm at 6:42 p.m. July 1. One of the suspects was arrested for a warrant. Police said two of the suspects were going through detox and didn't look good.

A Golden Gate Boulevard woman called at 4:14 p.m. June 30 and said she left her phone on her car in her driveway. When she went back for it, the phone was gone. Her husband called the phone and a man answered and claimed the phone was his. Police said there was a misunderstanding and the phone was returned to the woman.
