Police Blotter: Gun Stolen from Unlocked Car

A Beech Hill Road man called at 5:39 p.m. June 17 and said a .38-caliber revolver was missing from his car, which he thought had been locked. Police said the driver's side door was unlocked and the gun was taken from the glove box.

A caller at 5:24 p.m. June 17 said a suspicious car stops in front of a home at Sandalwood and Walnut drives, but neither occupant ever gets out of the car, a black late-model Lincoln.

A child's bike was stolen from an Aintree Park Drive garage on June 16. The bike was back at the bike rack a few hours later and had not been damaged.

A woman was injured while riding on a motorcycle that wiped out at 11:27 p.m. June 15 in the northbound express lanes on Interstate 271. The 21-year-old woman was taken to Hillcrest Hospital. Police said the owner of the motorcycle was cited for failure to control.

Police passed out fliers on June 14 warning residents about recent thefts from cars in the Hillcrest area. The fliers advised resident to lock cars and close garages.
