Police Blotter: Homeowner Told Fence Damage Was Not Caused by a Bear
Information supplied by the Highland Heights Police Department.

A Lowell Drive resident called at 8:39 a.m. Oct. 11 and said he thought a bear damaged his fence. Police said the plastic latticework fence had a 3-foot section that was cracked and it appeared to have been done by smaller animal such as a squirrel, raccoon or groundhog. There was no evidence that a bear had been in the yard.
A Longspur Drive resident called at 7:20 p.m. Oct. 11 and wanted to talk to an officer regarding a scam letter he received in the mail.
A Wilson Mills Road woman said at 7:18 a.m. Oct. 10 that she thought her soon to be ex son-in-law had been wandering around the property at night. She said her daughter has been living with her and she didn't want the man on the property except to pick up or drop off the children.
Police found two people sleeping on a bench at 3:06 a.m. Oct. 8 on Highland Road. The juveniles said there were waiting for a ride to Lyndhurst that never showed up.
