Police Blotter: Homeowner Told He Has Too Many Pets

Police received a complaint at 4:26 p.m. Sept. 17 that 20 to 30 cats were at a house on Miner Road. Police spoke with the homeowner, who has six dogs and a cat, and mentioned the city's ordinance regarding pets. The homeowner said he would reduce the number of pets to three.
A caller at 7:08 p.m. Sept. 21 said a man walking down Lander Road was yelling obscenities at him.
A person was soliciting money on Diana Court and Miner Road for a trip to London, a caller reported at 7:37 p.m. Sept. 21. Police were unable to find the suspect. Several other callers complained about a man soliciting for magazines. Police caught up with the man and advised him about the city's solicitation ordinance.
A Bishop Road woman saw a neighbor putting a deer stand in a tree and called police at 6:15 p.m. Sept. 20 to talk to an officer. The man removed the stand, which had been in a wooded lot, and the woman didn't want an officer to speak to him.
A North Greenway Court Boulevard man came to the police station at 3:46 p.m. Sept. 19 because a window at his house had been broken, possibly by a golf ball.
Officers were sent to Wilson Mills Road at 6:53 p.m. Sept. 17 to talk to a man about a temporary protection order. The man said his wife was trying to cause him to violate the order by showing up at locations where she knew he would be.
A Longspur Road resident called at 1:22 p.m. Sept. 16 and said a man called asking her to wire money for a son-in-law who was in an accident. She told police she was going to send money, but then talked to her son-in-law and found out it was a scam.
