Police Blotter: Impatient Woman Throws Juice at Fellow Customer

A woman at a Golden Gate Plaza store called at 6:22 p.m. March 13 after a woman in a black Lexus threw a cup of juice at her car and yelled obscenities. She said she had an involved return at a store and the other woman was upset because she was waiting in line. Police talked to the suspect about the consequences of her actions and the caller wished no further police involvement.

A 16-year-old boy called at 3:50 a.m. March 13 and said his uncle smacked him in the face for no reason on Fruitland Avenue. The boy had two girls in the house and they ran outside. Police told the caller to go to sleep for the night.

A Monterey Drive woman reported at 8:43 p.m. March 11 that her 16-year-old daughter packed her bags and was attempting to run away. Police found her at a drug store and took the girl home.

A disturbance was reported at 12:59 a.m. on SOM Center Road. The caller was crying and said she was having a verbal dispute with her son. Police said the woman's son was watching TV when she unplugged the set and told him to go to bed. She was told to seek professional help regarding her anger.

A white Ford Escort involved in a robbery at Beachwood Mall was spotted on Mayfield Road at 6:28 p.m. March 10. Beachwood police brought mall security to the scene and the suspects, two women and a man, were identified as those who had robbed Hollister.

Euclid police called March 4 about a wallet that had been found in the parking lot of Marc's at Eastgate. The wallet was found by a Euclid resident and dropped off at that city's police station.

An Eastwood Avenue woman said at 9:15 a.m. March 5 that it looked like someone tried to enter her home.

A fire alarm was trigged at 3:07 p.m. March 5 at Gates Mills Towers on Mayfield Road and the building was being evacuated. An alarm on the 12th floor had been accidentally pulled by a child.

A caller said there was an accident at 8:49 p.m. March 5 and the man who hit another car left the area on Mayfield Road. He appeared to be highly intoxicated and was driving on a flat tire. The man was arrested for violating a temporary protection order and operating a vehicle under the influence.
