Police Blotter: Information Sought About Hit-Skip Accident
Information supplied by the Gates Mills Police Department

The Police Department is seeking information regarding a hit-skip accident that occurred at 11:56 a.m. Sept. 4 on Old Mill Road near St. Christopher’s Church. A parked car was hit by what might have been a light-colored truck. Anyone with information regarding the crash should call Sgt. Savage at 440-423-4456.
An accident was reported at 3:05 a.m. Sept. 5 on Brigham Road. Police said a light-colored car, possibly a Volkswagen Passat, hit a guardrail and left. The incident is under investigation.
A Riverview Road resident called police at 4:04 p.m. Sept. 7 to report suspicious circumstances involving three unidentified men who came to his house. The men started sealcoating his driveway and then demanded payment, although they had not been hired to do any work. When the resident became suspicious, the men fled.

An accident was reported at 8:25 p.m. Sept. 9 on Mayfield Road. There were no injuries in the two-car crash. One of the drivers, a 59-year-old Chardon man, was cited for failing to operate his vehicle within the marked lanes.
Police were advised about possible flooding at 6:38 a.m. Sept. 10 on Wilson Mills Road near Chagrin River Road. Officers found that the road was impassable and rerouted traffic. The road was opened again at about 8:03 a.m.
