Police Blotter: Large Deer Found on Side of House

Animal control was contacted at 1:20 p.m. Nov. 5 about a dead deer that was on the side of a Wilson Mills Road house. The animal control officer then asked for help from the service department in lifting the very large buck.
A family came to the police station at 3:35 p.m. Nov. 5 to file an accident report. Police said that a report had been made in February and a driver involved just found out that his license had been suspended.
Smoke was reported in a Wilson Mills Road building at 11:45 a.m. Nov. 4. A hair salon was evacuated. There were construction workers on the roof and there had been a small rooftop fire.
A Norman Lane resident requested special attention given to his house at 8:38 p.m. Nov. 1 after a car pulled into his drive for the third time that day. He was concerned because his daughter was home alone.
A Thornapple Drive resident repotted at 8:07 p.m. Oct. 31 that he came home and found his 52-inch television and a laptop computer missing.
