Police Blotter: Late-Night Bowling Sounds Causing Unrest

An Aintree Park Drive woman called at 12:47 a.m. April 28 and said that every night it sounds like someone is dropping a bowling ball on the floor above her bedroom sometime between 10:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. She said management told her to call police when it happens and file a report. Police checked and all was quiet.

A rugby player urinated in a Lander Road back yard at 1:23 p.m. May 1 and exposed himself in the process. The team's coach talked to the players and let them know there is a bathroom nearby. He said they would comply with his advice.

An off-duty officer from Parma saw a suspected drunken driver at 4:44 a.m. April 30 on Interstate 271. Police stopped the car and the driver passed field tests and no violations were observed.

An Aintree Park Drive resident complained on April 28 that someone keeps parking in front of their mailbox and the mailman will not deliver when a car is there.

A driver stopped for a traffic offense at 8:31 a.m. April 27 on a ramp to Interstate 271 northbound appeared to have a warrant from Cleveland. The man said he was robbed at gunpoint and his wallet was stolen, leaving him with only a Social Security card for identification. He was issued a citation for speeding and a check confirmed that he had reported his wallet was stolen.

A woman with two dogs was giving clerks a hard time at 2:40 p.m. April 25 at a Beta Drive hotel because they wouldn't let her stay there.

Mayfield Heights police called at 6:43 p.m. April 25 and said that city's service department had a message that storm sewers on Oakwood and Thornapple drivers were not keeping up with the heavy downpour and roads were starting to flood, with front yards to follow. The area was checked and everything was draining OK at 7:36 p.m.
