Information supplied by the Mayfield Village Police Department.

An irate man called at 1:11 a.m. Oct. 6 after he was issued a handicapped parking citation on Berkshire Court. When he said he wasn't parked in a handicapped spot, a dispatcher asked the man if he wanted to talk to the officer who wrote the ticket. The man responded, "Why, so he can lie?" An officer went to the scene and saw that the car had been moved and said the violation was caught on video. When the officer walked the man to the parking spot and pointed out the violation, the man apologized to the officer and the dispatcher for the way he acted.

A man told police that traffic was backed up at 12:10 p.m. Oct. 6 at SOM Center and Wilson Mills roads due to an accident on Mayfield Road. An officer went to the scene to operate the traffic light manually and clear out the congestion.

Police also talked to him about the theft of a laptop computer and harassing communication with the girlfriend. About eight minutes later, the man confronted the girlfriend on SOM Center Road and asked for the clothes. She called police and asked for special attention to her home.

A library employee called at 8:27 p.m. Oct. 5 after seeing juveniles out of the area of the pond on the Wilson Mills Road property. Police arrived just seconds after the juveniles left and the employee said there were 30 to 50 kids pushing the car out of the grass.
