Police Blotter: Man Told to Stop Calling for Officer

A Maplewood Road man called several times on June 15 asking for a particular patrolman. He was told the officer would be in the next morning and if he kept calling another officer would be talking to him about interfering with public safety.

The regional manager of a store chain in Golden Gate Plaza told police on June 15 that inventory was done and several items were missing. He didn't want a report yet because he needed to gather more information.

A man told police on June 15 that he parked in a handicapped space in front of a Marsol Road building and someone threw rocks at the windshield.

A man from Texas was at Walmart on Mayfield Road at 1:57 p.m. June 15 and dropped keys for his rental car down a drain in the parking lot. An officer requested a service employee respond with a prybar to lift the grate. The keys were retrieved.

A woman said her daughter's husband was hitting her at 10:11 a.m. June 15 on Mayfield Road. Police said the woman found out her husband was sleeping around and he was packing his things and leaving.

An Orchard Heights resident said at 7:14 p.m. June 14 that she came out of her house and saw a man going through the back seat of her car. She asked what he was doing and he asked if "Bernard" was home. She responded that she didn't know who he was. She said the man was white and was in his late 30s or early 40s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and thin. He was balding and wearing a pink T-shirt. He left in a black Envoy with a woman in her mid-20s with red hair.

Two men were arrested at 4:36 p.m. June 13 on Mayfield Road after they stole cellphones from a store, police said. The men were charged with petty theft.
