Police Blotter: Missing Adult Alert Activated for Elderly Woman

An elderly woman was reported missing at 2:57 p.m. Jan. 6 on Gates Road. After a search of the surrounding area, a Missing Adult Alert was activated. She was found at 8:04 p.m. in East Cleveland and reunited with a family member.

A resident called 911 at 4:46 a.m. Jan. 1 to report that a suspicious person was knocking at his door on SOM Center Road. The person was a Mayfield Village resident who had the wrong house.

An accident was reported at 12:29 p.m. Jan. 3 on SOM Center Road. There were no injuries in the two-car crash. A 17-year-old Chagrin Falls resident was cited for failing to stop in an assured clear distance ahead.

A two-car accident was reported at 10:51 a.m. Jan. 6 on Mayfield Road. One of the drivers, a 49-year-old Chesterland man, was taken to Hillcrest Hospital. The other driver, a 60-year-old Twinsburg man, was cited for failing to yield the right of way when turning left.
