Police Blotter: Neighbor Sick of Smelling Marijuana

An Aintree Park Drive caller said neighbors are sick of the smell of marijuana and complained to management, but was told it was a police issue. Police talked to a man who admitted smoking marijuana earlier and said it would not happen again.

A yellow Labrador followed a woman home while she was walking her dog at 7:10 p.m. March 7 on Wilson Mills Road. The dog's owner called police at 7:28 p.m. and asked if it had been found and the dog was returned home.

A white Nissan missed the turn at 1:39 p.m. March 9 at SOM Center Road and Parkview and was stuck in the grass. A tow truck was called and the driver was cited for failure to control. As the tow driver was pulling her car out, the woman didn't obey instructions, put the car in reverse, and hit the tow truck.

A goose was in the roadway on Beta Drive at 6:27 p.m. March 9 and would not move, causing a caller to suspect it had been injured. Police checked and said the goose didn't appear to be in distress, but would not walk. Animal control was contacted to pick up the goose.

Mayfield Heights police warned at 1:55 p.m. March 13 that a truck was towed after being abandoned on Mayfield Road and the owner wanted his tools and work logs. He was told he cannot enter the SOM Center Road towing business himself to get his things, but police thought he would be headed there anyway.
