Police Blotter: Officer Called to Settle Dispute After Customer Is Tripped

An officer was flagged down at 4:41 p.m. Aug. 8 to settle a dispute among patrons at a Golden Gate Plaza business. One claimed he was tripped by someone who was still inside the store.

Two carloads of people were threatening each other at 1:29 a.m. Aug. 8 at Edgewood and Elmwood roads. A caller heard one person say they had a gun and another had a knife. Police checked the area and all was quiet.

A Mayfield Road woman called police at 7:24 p.m. Aug. 8 and said her husband was throwing things all over the place. A dispatcher heard them arguing and the woman saying he hit her and she hit him back. Police arrested the man for a felony warrant from Garfield Heights police, which came to pick him up.

An employee at a Mayfield Road tanning salon called police at 9:13 a.m. Aug. 7 and said a man exposed himself in front of the business. Police did not find the man, but took an impression of a fingerprint that was left on the window.

Two people were issued misdemeanor citations after a fight at 10:14 p.m. Aug. 7 at a Mayfield Road gas station. Police identified six people involved in the incident and all are residents of Akron.

Four juveniles were hanging around outside a Mayfield Road gas station at 4:58 p.m. Aug. 7 and asking people to buy them cigarettes or alcohol.
