Police Blotter: Old Mill Road Closed for Gas Line Repairs

Police were called at 1:56 p.m. May 25 about a ruptured gas line on Old Mill Road. The underground natural gas line was ruptured by a FirstEnergy crew working in the area and a portion of Old Mill Road was closed while repairs were made. The road was reopened at 6:04 p.m.

A 911 caller reported an accident at 5:03 p.m. May 23 on Mayfield Road. Two cars were involved in the crash and there were no injuries. A 74-year-old Burton woman was cited for making an improper lane change.

A West Hill Drive woman reported a suspicious person knocking at her door and requesting to use the phone at 10:05 p.m. May 27. Police spoke to the person and she said she was just released from the hospital and was trying to get home to Chesterland. An officer drove her home.
