Police Blotter: Resident Offers Driveway to Help Catch Speeders

A Genesee Avenue resident said at 7:48 p.m. May 20 that there were numerous cars speeding and not stopping for a stop sign at Franklin. He said police could use his driveway to catch violators if needed.
It appeared that someone was sleeping in a car at 3:54 a.m. May 23 outside a SOM Center Road apartment building. He told police that he had an argument with his wife and went to his car to cool off.
A man went into a Mayfield Road business at 3 a.m. and asked to use the phone to call 911, but wouldn't say what the problem was. He told police that he had a problem with a bartender at nearby bar. He didn't want any other police assistance and walked to a friend's house.
A man said he injured his knee, which he had recently had surgery on, when a woman pushed him at 11:51 p.m. at a SOM Center Road restaurant. A rescue squad was sent, but the man refused treatment at Hillcrest Hospital.
A woman called at 8:14 p.m. May 22 and said she hit a large animal in the southbound lanes of Interstate 271. Police found a deer in some high grass and said it had been killed.
A Marsol Road resident called police at 2:30 p.m. May 22 and said his girlfriend was throwing things at him. She then threatened to harm herself. Police said the woman was taken to a hospital.
A woman was screaming for help at 10:22 p.m. May 21 in a driveway on SOM Center Road. Police spoke with a couple who said their 3-year-old daughter was screaming because she did not want to sit in her car seat.
A Worton Boulevard woman called at 7:47 p.m. May 21 and said her boyfriend was highly intoxicated and broke her bathroom door down. She said he left and was heading toward the freeway.
