Police Blotter: Resident Unhappy About Unsolicited Address Painting

A Coldstream Road woman called police at 7:50 p.m. June 14 and said someone painted the address on the curb without her permission and then asked her for money. Police spoke to the suspect, who has a soliciting permit, and told him to ask residents before painting the address.

An accident was reported at 9:20 a.m. June 15 on Wilson Mills Road. There were no injuries.

A caller at 2:55 p.m. June 15 said someone struck her father's mailbox on Wilson Mills Road sometime overnight or in the morning.

A sliding glass door was damaged on June 14 on Miner Road. A resident said it appeared someone tried to enter the house.

A caller said two small children were playing unsupervised on a trampoline at 5:19 p.m. June 13 on Wilson Mills Road. Police checked and said a resident was with the children.

A large fire was reported at 7:46 p.m. June 12 on Bishop Road. The caller also said people were shooting BB guns. The fire was extinguished and police said the fire department would be contacted regarding open burning.

Mayfield Village police called at 9:37 p.m. June 12 after getting a report about a car going northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 271. Police did not find the car.

A caller reported seeing a case of road rage that then became a two-car accident at 4:35 p.m. June 12 at Stanwell Drive and Wilson Mills Road. An officer went to the scene and said there wasn't an accident.

An elderly woman was seen wearing a winter coat and carrying a suitcase at 6:51 p.m. June 11 on Miner Road. Police said the woman was OK and was walking home.
