Police Blotter: Short Visits to House Arouse Suspicions

A caller at 8:22 p.m. May 31 suspected prostitutes might be working at a Summit Drive house because many men were going in and out and staying only a short time.

A woman wanted officers to help her get her jacket back at 9:38 p.m. May 31 on Crestwood Road. She said a man physically pushed her and told her to leave. Police told her it was a civil matter.

A man went to a Mayfield Road gas station at 6:21 p.m. May 31 and handed an employee a gift card that turned out to have nothing left on it. He pumped $57.20 worth of gas and left.

An Orchard Heights resident reported trouble with a neighbor on May 31. There was a dispute about a 2-foot strip of grass. Officers spoke to both parties and told one not to cut the grass, but to call the city's building department if it got too long.

A woman was caught stealing flip flops from an Eastgate Plaza store at 1:36 p.m. May 31. The store did not want to prosecute. Police told the woman that she was banned from the store and would be charged with trespassing if she returned.

A Ridgeview Road woman called at 12:55 p.m. May 30 and said her house had been egged overnight.

A woman told police she heard a loud noise at 3:48 a.m. May 30 on Ridgeview Road. She checked and saw that her window had been hit with eggs. She wanted police to pay special attention to the area.
