Police Blotter: Snake, Money Missing From Residence

A Woodhurst Road resident called at 9:19 p.m. Jan. 12 and said a grandson reported that money and a snake were missing. The caller said a friend might had taken the snake and the grandson was going to check before filing a report.
The rear door was found open at 4:09 a.m. Jan. 13 at US Bank on SOM Center Road. Bank security was called and a keyholder was sent to lock up the building.
A Lander Road man called police at 12:11 a.m. Jan. 13 after waking up to the sound of a baby gate being knocked over. He said there also were papers thrown down stairs. Police said the house checked OK.
A man wearing dark clothes was walking at 11:40 p.m. Jan. 11 on Interstate 271 between Mayfield and Brainard roads.
Several callers at about 12:45 a.m. Jan. 11 reported a fire alarm going off at the Marsol Towers Apartments, but none of them saw or smelled smoke. A resident called and said she burned food on her stove and set off the alarm.
A suspicious car was reported at 1:38 p.m. Jan. 11 on Crestwood Road. Police checked and said the man in the car was a police officer who also works as a private investigator and was investigating a married couple.
A catalytic converter was stolen Jan. 11 from a car at the Hamilton House Apartments on Chatham Way.
A fight was reported at 12:21 a.m. Jan. 11 outside the Fox & Hound Restaurant on SOM Center Road. The victim told police he did not want to pursue the matter.
