Police Blotter: Softball Player Threatens Umpire

A man walked into the police station at 4:07 p.m. Aug. 10 after he overheard a softball player who was called out threaten to come get the umpire with five friends. Police told recreation department employees about the threat.
A man came to the police station at 5:09 p.m. Aug. 12 and said he was in a party bus the previous night and was assaulted by a woman on the way back from downtown. Police said the incident happened in Shaker Heights.
A woman called at 8:25 p.m. Aug. 11 about a loud party in the area of Sandalwood and SOM Center Road. Police told the woman that the sound was from the village band concert.
A 60-year-old man was upset because a woman would not sell cigarettes to his son due to lack of identification at 8:36 a.m. Aug. 11 at a Wilson Mills Road business.
