Police Blotter: Start of School Year has Drivers in a Hurry

A caller at 7:37 a.m. Aug. 24 complained that school buses and cars were speeding on Millridge Road. An officer went the area and did not see any speeding violations.

Police let a Diana Court resident know that a car had its lights on at 11:07 p.m. Aug. 24.

A Miner Road resident came to the police station at 1:04 p.m. Aug. 24 to complain about another resident who walks, rides a bike or skates the same route as she walks her dog. She said he bothers her and scared her this morning. She was told to document her dealings with the man and carry her cell phone with her.

Police noticed an open garage door at 3:01 a.m. on Oakview Drive. A car inside was unlocked and bikes, golf clubs and tools were in plain sight.

A woman walking at 1:35 p.m. Aug. 21 on Miner Road was wearing a lot of clothes, including a jacket and hat, and a caller thought this was odd.

A caller said a woman in a brown Toyota hit a mailbox at 7:06 a.m. Aug. 20 on Hanford Drive.

Beer bottles and used condoms were found in the back of a parking lot at 8:43 a.m. Aug. 20 on Brainard Road. A caller wanted police to watch the area in the evening hours.
