Police Blotter: Store Tag Helps Man Retrieve Lost Keys

A set of keys was found May 16 outside the Mayfield Village Community Center. The key ring had a Heinen's key tag. Police contacted the store, which let the man know his keys were at the police department.
A husky was seen running from a SOM Center Road floral shop and down Beta Drive at 10:16 p.m. May 20. Police said the dog belongs to a SOM Center Road resident and there were numerous past reports of it running around the area. Police were unable to find the animal.
Water was running and filling a vacant South Berkley Square house at 9:35 p.m. May 19. A door was pried off to enter the house and shut off the water and service department workers were sent to board up the house.
A female walked into the police station at 3:48 p.m. May 19 and said she hit another car in the parking lot of Mayfield High School. However, she didn't have any information about the other car and didn't know the license plate.
A three-car accident was reported at 11:58 a.m. May 19 on Wilson Mills Road. No one was injured, but the cars were severely damaged and there were broken pieces and fluid in the road.
A caller reported an erratic driver on Interstate 271 at 12:33 p.m. May 18. Police followed the car from White Road to the Wickliffe border and did not see any traffic violations.
A man came to the police station at 9:59 a.m. May 18 said his car was vandalized the previous night while parked in an apartment lot on Aintree Park Drive.
