Police Blotter: Suspicious Men in Back Yard Were Working on Sewer Line
Information supplied by the Gates Mills Police Department

A Dorchester Road resident called police at 9:58 a.m. Sept. 19 to report two suspicious people near her back yard. Officers checked the area and found two men who were working on a sewer line.
A caller at 11:07 a.m. Sept. 23 told police there was a suspicious person walking around the bridge construction site on Old Mill Road. Police were unable to find the suspect.
An officer noticed heavy damage to a fence on Battles Road at 3:17 a.m. Sept. 24. The fence had been hit by a car that was no longer at the scene. Police identified the car and the driver, a 29-year-old Mayfield Heights man, was charged with failing to maintain reasonable control of his vehicle.

An accident was reported at 2:39 p.m. Sept. 24 at Chagrin River and Brigham roads. A truck had turned on its side and hit a car. The truck's driver, a 50-year-old Cleveland man, was cited for driving under suspension, no operator’s license, failure to maintain reasonable control, operating an unsafe vehicle and operating a truck on a no through truck road. Both drivers were taken to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment of injuries.
