Police Blotter: Taser Used on Suspect in Hit-Skip Accident

A woman said a white Kia hit her at 9:01 p.m. Feb. 27 at Lander and Marnell roads and didn't stop. The other driver pulled into an apartment lot on Marsol Road and ran into the building, where he was caught. A Taser was used to subdue him and the suspect was taken to Hillcrest Hospital.
A caller said a man pushed him at 11:48 p.m. March 2 on Mayfield Road and he was having back pain. He later changed his mind and said that although his buddy pushed him, he didn't want police to be involved.
A man picked up $40 worth of food and left without paying at 4:26 p.m. March 2 at a Mayfield Road restaurant.
A Sunset Road man reported at 9:10 p.m. March 2 that his wife's 13-year-old stepdaughter kicked him in the stomach after he took the cell phone away from her. Police said the matter was resolved and told the man to call back if police are needed.
A caller thought four men parked at 12:47 p.m. March 1 on Edgewood Road might be passing a marijuana cigarette between them. Police issued a citation to one of the suspects for having an open container of alcohol.
A Marsol Road resident reported at 3:59 p.m. March 1 that someone removed the lock from his apartment door and stole $200 cash and a gold necklace.

A GPS unit was taken from a car Feb. 28 on Mayfield Ridge Road. There were no signs of forced entry.

A tour bus caught fire at 8:46 a.m. Feb. 26 on Interstate 271 just north of the Mayfield Road exit. There were about 30 passengers on the bus. The driver called for transportation for the passengers and a tow truck was arranged for the bus.
