The pastor at a Wilson Mills Road church left a MacBook Pro computer worth $2,000 on an organ bench and it was gone when Mass was over at 1:56 p.m. March 27.
Mayfield Heights police called for assistance at 8:46 p.m. March 30 after a car side-swiped a semi and went off into a ditch on Interstate 271 southbound. Mayfield Heights police were with the truck driver, but couldn't find the car. Highland Heights and Willoughy Hills police were also unsuccessful in attempts to find the car.
Two large dogs – one wearing a T-shirt – were loose at 8:04 a.m. March 30 in the southbound lanes of Interstate 271. Police checked, but were unable to find the dogs.
A suspicious man was sitting in a beat-up blue van at 1:25 p.m. March 30, a resident told police. Police caught up with the man in the woods and learned he was wanted in Richmond Heights. He was taken to the Richmond Heights police station. However, police said the van belonged there and was being used to transport people working on a house under construction.
A motorist called at 1:12 p.m. March 28 and said a silver car with flashers on was following the mailman down Highland Road. Police said that's how someone learns the mail route.
A woman stopped for a traffic violation at 8:37 p.m. March 26 was in a car reported stolen from Mentor. The Mentor Police Department was notified and arrested the woman.
A fight was reported at 12:43 a.m. March 27 at a Highland Road bar. The victim told police that the suspects left and she did not want to press charges.
A customer who had been asked to leave a Highland Road bar was sending threatening text messages to a bar employee at 1:15 a.m. March 27.
