Police Blotter: Trash Bin Apparently Has New Tenant

A caller at 1:29 p.m. April 9 suspected that a man might be living in a trash bin by a Mayfield Road drug store. There were clothes in the trash bin. Apparently the person took off before police arrived. The caller said the suspect was not the same person who was living in there last summer.
Lyndhurst police recovered a stolen trailer at 10:09 p.m. April 10 on Falkirk Road. Witnesses said it had been attached to a car and was left there by some juveniles. The owner, a Marsol Road resident, was called and had not realized the trailer was stolen.
A SOM Center Road woman called at 9:09 p.m. April 10 about loud stomping in the apartment above hers. The caller's sister talked to the suspect and worked it out without police involvement.
A deer was hit by a car at 12:41 p.m. April 10 on Mayfield Road. The service department was called to pick up the animal.
A Marsol Road resident called at 3:07 a.m. April 10 and said there was a party going on next door and a strong odor of marijuana in the hallway.
A caller said a known drug dealer was walking around outside a Marsol Road apartment building at 2:25 p.m. April 9 and threatening to "kick everyone's butt." The man was gone when police arrived.
A Woodrow Avenue resident wanted police to check for speeders at 5:45 p.m. April 8. An officer ran radar on the street and issued a citation for speeding.
A person who owns a store in Beachwood called at 10:37 a.m. April 8 about a customer who claimed to be able to get a discount at Best Buy. The caller gave the man $250 to purchase items and was supposed to park in the back of the store to pick up the merchandise, but the suspect didn't show.
A woman said a motorist approached her 5-year-old son while he was riding his bike at about 4 p.m. April 7 at Longwood Drive and Marnell Avenue. She didn't know what the woman driving the car said but thought it was inappropriate to speak to her son. Police checked the area and were unable to find the suspect.
A caller said about 30 people were fighting at 11:08 p.m. April 6 in the parking lot of a Mayfield Road store. The caller said most of the combatants were employees. Everything was quiet when police checked. However, the store's manager called later and said there was talk one man had a gun, but no gun was seen.
A Mayfield Road woman reported at 7:34 a.m. April 6 that her boyfriend took car rims she bought for her son and took $300 from her. Police said it was a civil matter.
