Police Blotter: Two Men Arrested for Shooting at a Squirrel

An anonymous caller at 4:03 p.m. June 27 said people on Cranbrook Drive were using a rifle to shoot at animals in a back yard. Police said two men had been shooting at a squirrel. They were arrested and charged with discharging a firearm within city limits.
Someone in a white van was scavenging through trash at 6:39 p.m. June 28 on Gloucester Drive.
A patron at a Bishop Road bar threatened other customers with a gun and threw chairs before walking out at 6:47 p.m. June 28. The bar manager didn't want to press charges and police told the man he was no longer welcome at the business.
Two cars were broken into overnight on Kenarden Drive, a resident reported at 7:16 p.m. June 27.
A bicycle was reported stolen from a Highland Road garage at 12:40 p.m. June 27.
An employee at an Avion Drive business called police at 1:44 a.m. June 27 and said his ex-girlfriend followed him and has been leaving notes on his car. Police advised the woman not to contact the man.
An alarm went off at 11:26 a.m. June 26 on Kirkshire Court. Police said a back window at a house had been broken out and there was a stool under the window. Nothing was taken and the suspect fled before police arrived.
A red Trek bicycle valued at $800 was reported stolen at 4:01 p.m. June 23 on Highland Road. The bike was in a garage and the door had been left open.
