Police Blotter: Vandal Writes 'Free Candy' on Van

A Summit Drive resident reported at 10:14 a.m. Dec. 2 that sometime overnight the words "free candy – kids only" were written on her van. Police said the message was written in White Out and the woman did not file a report.

A Sunningdale Road woman reported at 6:33 p.m. Dec. 3 that juveniles were running around the area and she heard them break something at a house on the corner. She said they also broke a brick in her yard that said "faith." Police caught three boys and talked to their parents.

A SOM Center Road man called at 11:06 a.m. Dec. 3 and said the catalytic converter was stolen off his car sometime between Nov. 25 and Nov. 27.

A man said at 6:28 p.m. Dec. 2 that he was walking his dog on Marsol Road when he was approached by a man who said he would shoot the dog if it was not on a leash. Police said no weapon was shown and officers were unable to find the man who made the threat.

A Mayfield Road resident called at 1 a.m. Dec. 3 and said it sounded like a resident above him was pounding on the floor with a hammer. Police checked and said a TV was on, but was not loud at all.
