Police Blotter: Wind Takes Down Portable Toilets at Fields

A call at 12:51 p.m. April 17 from Village Trail sounded like a domestic dispute, but a dispatcher would not understand the caller. Police said there was a verbal argument between a mother and her daughter and the daughter picked up her things and moved out.

A 911 caller at 10:22 p.m. April 16 sounded intoxicated and wasn't sure where she was. She asked for help and said she was recently pink-slipped and in the hospital because of drinking. The woman turned out to be in Mayfield Heights and police there were provided a possible street address and the woman's cell phone number. Police found the woman passed out and were able to reach her son to have him help her out.

Wind blew over the portable toilets at the soccer fields at 7:30 a.m. April 16. A message was left with a company to pick up the bathrooms since they needed to be cleaned and replaced.

A deer was sitting in the road at 7:08 a.m. April 15 at Wilson Mills Road and Interstate 271. The animal had been hit but was still alive. Mayfield Heights police went to the scene and said they would have the deer put down.

A piece of sheet metal was on Interstate 271 near Wilson Mills Road at 2:34 p.m. April 13 and was getting tossed around after being hit by cars. Police moved it behind a guardrail.
