Police Blotter: Woman Tells Police Picture was a Frame

A woman called police June 3 and said she's going through a divorce and left her car parked the previous day in a SOM Center Road lot. She said it was left open so her soon-to-be ex husband could put their children's baseball equipment in it. She said he took a picture of an unopened beer and empty pill bottle in the car and said "wait until the attorneys see this." She told police that the items were not her property.
A caller said two juveniles were tampering with mailboxes while walking a dog at 12:55 p.m. June 6 on Beech Hill Road. Police didn't see the suspects, but noticed that all the mailboxes had been opened and their flags were sticking up.
A possible intoxicated driver was entering Mayfield Village in a red Pontiac Grand Am, a caller reported at 12:48 a.m. June 6. Police pulled over the car on Interstate 271 and arrested the driver for operating a vehicle under the influence, prohibited blood-alcohol content and weaving.
A ladder was in the roadway at 12:10 p.m. June 4 on Interstate 271 near Wilson Mills Road. Police said the ladder had been damaged and moved it off the roadway.
A trash bin was on fire outside of the library at 10:40 a.m. June 1. Library personnel said someone from maintenance would handle the problem.
