Police Blotter: Woman Told Car Never Had a Plate to Be Stolen

A woman came to the police station at 7 p.m. Feb. 1 because there was no front license plate on her car and she hadn't seen it for a couple of days. An officer explained that she had a temporary tag and there is no front plate.

A Cranbrook Drive woman called at 1:12 a.m. Feb. 2 and said someone just broke through her kitchen door. Police checked and didn't see any suspects.

A Bishop Road woman called at 1:30 a.m. Feb. 2 because her boyfriend came over to spend the night and she didn't want him there. Officers talked to the man and he left.

Mayfield Village police said a caller at 3:52 a.m. Feb. 2 had been delivering papers in the area of Alpha Drive and Highland Road and said there was a strong odor of gas. Police said a resident woke up and found a gas leak inside the house. The fire department called the gas company about the problem.

A green Ford Explorer was parked at 4:01 p.m. Jan. 31 in the cul-de-sac on Golfview Lane while a dog was running around. A caller said the dog's owner has been told not to do this. An officer spoke to the driver and said to stay off the property.
