Police Blotter: Woman Told Not to Throw Trash Out of Window

A Fruitland Avenue resident called at 7:18 a.m. April 18 to complain about a neighbor who opens a window facing the caller's driveway and throws trash out of it. An officer told the woman not to throw trash out of the window.

Strobe lights were flashing inside JoAnn Fabrics at Eastgate Shopping Center at 9:24 p.m. April 18. An officer said there didn't appear to be a problem and the store had been working on the alarm system.

A Commonwealth Avenue called at 8:03 p.m. April 18 and said two juveniles threw a stick at her fence because her dog was barking. She confronted them and they were nasty to her, she said. An officer talked to the boys, who admitted throwing the stick but denied saying anything.

An Elmwood Avenue woman said at 4:32 p.m. April 17 that FedEx delivered her cell phone to a neighbor's house by mistake and the neighbor signed the caller's name on the receipt. She knocked on the door and tried to pickup the phone and the neighbor wasn't answering. Police said there was a misunderstanding and the woman got her phone.

A Summit Drive man called at 7:09 p.m. April 16 after a suspicious man came to the house and asked if the trucks parked in the drive were for sale. The caller thought the visit was a setup.
