Police Blotter: Woman Told Police Are Priority Over Insurance Company

Strongsville police called at 8 p.m. May 31 asking Mayfield Village police to check a Wilson Mills Road residence for a woman who was involved in a hit-skip accident. Police talked to the woman, who said she was planning to call her insurance company first. She was told she should call Strongsville police because the accident was being considered a case of hit and run.

A school bus hit a landscaping trailer at 3:48 p.m. May 24 on Echo Drive. The bus hit a tire and there was no damage to the bus or trailer, police said.

A moving truck hit a phone line on 5:47 p.m. May 24 on Glenview Road. AT&T was called to repair the damage.

A woman came to the police station at 6:29 p.m. May 26 and said her car was hit from behind on Wilson Mills Road near the southbound entrance ramp to Interstate 271.

A Hickory Hill Drive woman called police at 8:53 p.m. May 27 to say she was going to be parking two cars on Blueberry Circle because her roof was being redone and the driveway was full of nails.

A caller thought a truck might be disabled at 8:05 p.m. June 1 on Interstate 271. The  driver said he rolled down his window and $25 flew out and he was looking for the money. Police said he gave up the search.
