Police Blotter: Workers Try to Enter House on Wrong Street

A Pheasant Run resident said two men were trying to break into his home at 2:15 p.m. July 17. He said they were trying to pry the front door open. Officers checked and the men were hired by a mortgage contract service that deals with taking houses back. They showed paperwork with the right house number, but the address was for a house on Fox Hollow.

An officer stopped a car matching the description of one being sought in Highland Heights at 3:41 a.m. July 17 at Ridgebury Boulevard and Cranbrook. The occupants were suspected of going through cars and were taken to the Highland Heights Police Department.

A Rosebury Court resident complained at 7:04 p.m. July 17 that a neighbor's bug spray was so strong that she couldn't go outside to water her plants. Police said the bug spray was moved to the back of the house.

A man was asked to leave the pool area at a SOM Center Road apartment building at 4:39 p.m. July 17. A caller told police that the man had been drinking. Police said the man cleaned up his mess and returned to his apartment for the night.

A Longwood Drive woman called police at 2:27 a.m. July 17 after her 15-year-old brother showed up at her house. She said his friends were walking in the street and had a baseball bat. Police were unable to locate the boys.

A Golden Gate Boulevard woman called at 2:25 a.m. July 16 after looking outside and seeing a man urinating in her barbecue grill. Officers were unable to find anyone matching the description provided and told the woman to call the next time she sees the man.

A Commonwealth Avenue woman called at 5:50 p.m. July 15 and said her garage had been broken into. She didn't think anything was missing until she wanted to go for a bike ride and noticed the bicycle was gone.
