Police Investigating Gilmour Break-Ins: Gates Mills Blotter

The following information was provided by the Gates Mills Police Department

Incidents reported in early April:

Gilmour break-ins: An employee of Gilmour Academy called the Gates Mills Police Department at 4:45 p.m. on April 3 to report several vehicle break-ins in the parking lot. 

According to police, an unidentified suspect broke into three different vehicles within an hour, stealing various items. An officer met with the victims that day, but no arrests have been made.

Gunfire call: Police responded to reports of gunfire on Sunday afternoon near Hawthorne Farms Drive.

An officer then spoke with a Timberidge Trail resident who was shooting at targets on his property. Despite the disturbance, the officer determined the resident was in compliance with the legal requirements for discharging a firearm on his property.
